Only trust your device screen

Your Trezor displays your recovery words during backup. A computer, website, or support agent should never ask you to type them in.

Write it down. Keep it offline.

Record each word in order on your recovery backup. Keep it somewhere secure and private—never in a photo, notes app, or cloud drive.

Pause when something feels wrong

Ignore unexpected messages, calls, and links. Trezor Support will never ask for your recovery seed or remote access to your computer.

Never share your recovery seed with anyone. Anyone who has it can access your crypto.

What if my Trezor arrives without firmware?

That’s normal for a new device. Download Trezor Suite from trezor.io/trezor-suite and follow its prompt to install authentic firmware.

Do I need to enter my recovery seed on my computer?

No. During a new wallet setup, your recovery seed is shown on your Trezor device screen. Never type it into a computer, phone, website, or chat.

What should I do if I get stuck?

Visit the official Trezor Support center. Be cautious of anyone contacting you first or asking for your seed phrase.
